BMW Endurance

Le team BMW Motorrad sera présent aux prochaines 24 Heures Moto du Mans. Le 21 avril 2007, les légendaires 24 Heures Moto du Mans seront lancées. Ce jour-là, tout se déroulera comme les années précédentes à une exception près, historique : après une absence de la compétition routière qui aura duré cinquante ans, un team BMW Motorrad officiel sera présent sur la ligne de départ. Le team BMW Motorrad Motorsport sera donc présent lors de l’épreuve d’ouverture du Championnat du Monde d’Endurance avec une boxer sport techniquement basée sur la BMW R 1200 S. En raison de sa cylindrée de 1 200 cm3, cette moto est homologuée en catégorie Open. Les pilotes du team sont tous des professionnels possédant déjà une certaine expérience de la marque BMW. Il s’agit de Stéphane Mertens, Thomas Hinterreiter et Rico Penzkofer, avec Marcus Barth comme pilote de réserve. Au cours de la saison 2007, le team participera à quatre courses de 24 heures : tout d’abord les 24 Heures Moto au Mans (21 et 22 avril), puis Barcelone (7 et 8 juillet), Oschersleben (11 et 12 août) et enfin le Bol d’Or à Magny Cours (les 15 et 16 septembre). The TEAM BMW Motorrad will be present at next the 24 Hours Motor bike of Mans. On April 21, 2007, legendary the 24 Hours Motor bike of Mans will be launched. This day, all will be held like the previous years with an exception, history: after an absence of the road competition which will have lasted fifty years, an official BMW Motorrad TEAM will be present on the starting line. The TEAM BMW Motorrad Motorsport will be thus present at the time of the test of opening of the Championship of the World of Endurance with a boxer sport technically based on BMW R 1200 S. Because of its cubic capacity of 1.200 Cm3, this motor bike will run in the Open category. All of the TEAM pilots are professionals already having a certain experiment of the BMW mark. It is about Stephan Mertens, Thomas Hinterreiter and Rico Penzkofer, with Marcus Barth as pilot of reserve. During the season 2007, the TEAM will take part in four 24 hours races: first of all the 24 Hours Motor bike in Mans (21 and April 22), then Barcelona (July 7), Oschersleben (August 11) and finally the "Bol d'Or" at Magny Cours (15 and September 16).
